The recently deceased pianist Irène Schweizer is one of the rare Swiss musicians to have achieved international fame in the male-dominated world of jazz. This portrait film was made at the height of Schweizer's career and provides an insight into the youth and artistic development of the Schaffhausen-born musician, but above all into the breadth of her musical skills, which range from swing and hard bop to free jazz and other forms of improvised music.
When 13-year-old Minato starts behaving increasingly strangely at home, his mother decides to confront the teachers at school. At first glance, everything seems to indicate that one of the teachers is responsible for Minato's behavior. But with each new view of things - after that of the mother, that of the teacher in question, and finally the one of the children - the story and its recurring details appear in a completely different light.
